Queen Victoria Agave - 5 Seeds

Queen Victoria's agave (Agave victoriae-reginae) is a small species of agave noted for its streaks of white on sculptured geometrical leaves, and popular as an ornamental.
This agave is highly variable in form, but in general the rosettes are small and compact, composed of short, rigid, thick leaves that are green with a pattern of distinctive white markings. The markings are generally along leaf keels or margins, giving a sort of polyhedral appearance. Marginal teeth are usually lacking, while the terminus of the leaf may include 1 to 3 spines, each 1.5-3 cm in length.
This petite agave is one of the best choices for containers or small planting areas.
Agaves prefer full sun to filtered shade, deep and infrequent irrigation, and require well-drained soil. They are ideal choices for containers or shallow planters with limited soil volume. Agaves are relatively problem-free
Sowing:
Cover the seeds in a small plastic pot with a small measure of the soil mixture. Usually this is about the diameter of the seed. They should not be placed very deep into the soil. They should be just below the surface.
Set the pot in a pan of distilled water and leave there until you see that the soil is wet. Remove the pot and then allow to drain for several minutes. Cover the pot with a plastic bag and secure with a rubber band.
Set the seedling on a windowsill where it will receive diffused light instead of direct sunlight.
