SOLANUM MELONGENA, ORNAMENTAL EGGPLANT - This has unique egg shaped white fruits maturing to yellow. Resembles chicken eggs. Height of 20 inches and takes 60 days to mature. Keep indoors during the winter. Has showy purple flowers before the fruit develops. The Eggs are really edible fruits shaped like a hens egg. They are white at first, then turn golden yellow when ripe. At the white stage they are delicious to eat _ just cook and peel. It makes a spectacular house plant in your window, or it can be planted outdoors after danger of frost
Sowing: pre treatment no needed. Sow in quality seedling mix. Temperature 22 deg C. Germination in 4-6 weeks.
