A superb recent discovery. Dense tufts of glaucous blue wiry leaves make a striking display, either as a specimen or for edging or pot culture. Evergreen plant with attractive foliage for winter and summer interest.
Forming compact blue mounds of needle like growth this dwarf fescue is also well suited to front of border or rockery planting, where it provide AYR foliage colour and contrast.
Festuca glauca cultivation notes: This hardy ornamental grass requires a sunny position and it is drought tolerant. Thrives in a reasonably fertile well drained soil. Divide and replant clumps every 2-3 years
Sowing advice: K. GRASSES: COVER SEED THINLY WITH COMPOST OR GRIT IN GENTLE HEAT OR A WARM LIGHT SPOT OUTSIDE. GROW ON SINGLY OR IN CLUMPS IN 3" POTS. PLANT OUT IN A WELL-DRAINED OPEN POSITION.
