Description Blooming from July (provided the seeds have been sown early enough-Jan-Feb) until the first frosts, produces very large and distinctive flowers that begin a greenish-white but turn to an inky purple with age. Cobaea scandens will appeal to anyone who longs for something with panache and visual impact. vigorous vine and hard to ignore in the landscape. It is only perennial in USDA Hardiness Zones 9 - 10. Cup and Saucer Vine is usually grown as an annual vine. Ø
