Aubrieta Deltoidea Royal Blue, Aubreitia Seeds

Aubrieta along with Arabis, Irish Moss and Creeping Thyme are extremely popular rock garden plants, and a familiar sight in the spring garden. They form a low cushion of evergreen leaves, literally smothered by flowers for several weeks. Plants should be trimmed lightly immediately after blooming, to encourage a thick mounding habit. Excellent choice for a rock garden in sun or part shade, growing over rock walls, or in alpine troughs and other containers.
Common aubrieta covers just about every low thing that surrounds it all year. At 4 to 6 inches tall and 18 inches wide, this spreading ground cover is a spring classic. Let it spill over rocks or out of walls.

Sowing Instruction:
Sow in January to June or in September to November for flowering throughout the following summer:
You will need good free draining seed compost.
Aubrieta need light to germinate, so just cover the seed with a small amount of vermiculite. Compost must be moist and not wet. It is recommended to seal in a polythene bag until germination which usually takes 14-21 days at 18-20°C (65-68°F) Remove the polythene bag once the first seedlings appear.
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them to 7cm (3in) pots to grow on. Once established, plant out 30cm (12in)
